Overcoming the Lies
FREEDOM! POWER! PURPOSE! Why have we made life-change harder than it has to be? In Higher Pursuits, we will study the Seven Lies that lead us into seemingly unbreakable struggles and the Seven Pursuits that bring freedom unlike we’ve known. Let's discover together how the gospel *heals* our spirit and sets us on a path of success. We will learn how the early believers possessed all the truth they needed for the transformation that they desired and how we can apply that same truth in our lives today.
Join us on Wednesday evenings for this 8 week co-ed adult bible study lead by Pastor Melvin Adams. Beginning Wednesday evenings, Jan 10 @ 7 PM
God is referred to by a number of names in the Bible, not just a single name. Each of these names has great significance. Each name tells us something important about His character and how He relates to us. So join us in October on Sunday mornings as Pastor Melvin looks at some of the significant names used for God in the Bible.
Paul & the Underground Church
Explore a crowded Roman marketplace, tiptoe past watchful Roman guards, encourage first-century Christians who meet in a dark cave, race chariots, and visit Paul for daily discoveries about God’s love.
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
K - 5th grade are welcome
*Bad Girls of the Bible: And What We Can Learn From Them* by Liz Curtis Higgs. Women everywhere marvel at the “Good Girls” in Scripture. We admire the faithfulness of Ruth, the courage of Esther, and the humility of Mary. Yet when we look in our hearts, we may find the selfishness of Sapphira, the deception of Delilah, or Jezebel’s take-charge pride instead! What’s a Good Girl to do? Learn from our biblical sisters and their disastrous mistakes, and by God’s grace, choose a better, more redemptive path. Enlightening, fun, challenging, and life-changing!
A Study in ACTS
No fingerprints are alike. Just as you were created by
God with infinite care for a definite purpose, so is the church. We will take a look at the spiritual fingerprints of the early church, examine their significance and see how they apply to our purpose today.
Join us in a brief ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word.
If you would like to publicly dedicate your baby to God, please call the church at 407-877-7735.
